New places were always interesting... Kara was hoping this little establishment would be no exception. Nestled in the back corner of one of the fleet's least reputable ships, rumors of its existence had been slow to spread, but she'd caught word. And from what she'd heard... This was her kind of place.
Since the holocaust, and now into the second exodus, she'd been aching for a place like her old haunts. Two years of pleasant people, clean napkins with your drinks, and everyone acting like the pretentious asses they were. Gods that just wasn't her scene. R&R wasn't about fancy cocktails and manners, it was about getting blind drink, smoking cigars, fleecing as many people as you could at the card table before ending the night with either a good frak or a good fight; or, as the case often was on a good night, both.
She pushed the unassuming hatch open, to find a place worthy of her fondest memories. Stepping inside, it took a moment for her to realize this was no ordinary place, and that it just might be a very interesting night.

The bar was rumbling with the clanking of glasses and a low murmur of conversation, as it usually was, complete with a shadowy figure passed out in a corner, no doubt in a pool of his own urine and/or vomit. Suddenly, the door to the bar swung open, and in rushed a short asian man with bleach blonde hair, a leather jacket, and sunglasses. Outisde the door, no less than two dozen slightly overweight Japanese girls could be heard yelling after him, "京さん可愛いで～～～～～～す！". As soon as he'd cleared the threshhold of the door, he immediatly pivoted and yelled "俺は可愛いじゃない！", back to the crowd with his surprisingly deep voice and slammed the door shut. He leaned against it, huffing, to catch his breath.
The strangle little man turned towards and approached the bar as he wondered why the bar was so sparingly lit--it was almost pitch black. As he took his seat at the bar, he realized he was yet to remove his sunglasses. In the coolest way possible, he swooped them off, for the first time seeing the dozens of bewildered eyes set upon him. He blinked a couple of times and turned to the bartender, saying "ビール下さい。" nonchalantly as he gazed cooly at something that wasn't on the wall.

Just a heads up, people who have not or do not post in two week's time will be warned, then cut from the rp. I added in this rule recently. ^_^

Milt watched Kefka calmly as he went through a mini-rant and spoke when the brightly-clad man finished. "I am afraid you must specify what you would like to know, Sir."

With the vaporization of Milt, the bar seemed very much at the mercy of Kefka. However, the back door opened and Milt stepped out, looking perfectly fine. "Oh dear, Sir, I'm sorry for neglecting you." Milt got Xanatos his drink.
Milt let the confusion go on for a bit longer before rapping his knuckles on the bar. "Excuse me, but I believe now that a sufficient number of people are here, an explanation is due. That door leads to any number of trillions or more of worlds. I am sorry for your inconvenience, but it is unlikely that you will find your own again."
He let that sink in.
(OOC: Alright, here we go!!)
The bar was not as seedy as some claimed. On the small side, with lanterns of all types and denominations hanging from the cieling, it might have been described as 'cozy'. The bar itself, however, was massive, and took up the entire back wall. Solid mahogany, it offered protection for the man behind it: a squirrely looking fellow by the name of Milt.
No customers yet, but the night was young, and it was always night in the Nexus Bar.

what is this?
Snake walked into the bar. He gaped, "What..? This is a bar, not a nuclear testing facility..."
